Hawaii - (Bird Park, Byrons Ledge, Crater Rim Trail, Devestation Trail, Footprints Trail, Hualalai Summit, Kilauea Iki, Kipuka Maunaiu, Kipuka Nene, Kipuka Puaulu, Kulani Cone, Lupea, Mauna Loa Rd., Mauna Loa Trail, Napau Trail Puu Waawaa, Redleg Trail, Saddle, Tree Molds)

Habitats: Dry montane and subalpine shrubland, usually on recent lava flows.

Plants: Argyroxiphium, Coprosma, Dodonaea, Dubautia, Metrosideros, Myoporum, Sophora, Styphelia

Xerces: No info.

Insects of Hawaii: Medium-sized bees with clear wings. Male with long malar space, scape slightly dilated, face with oval yellow mark (c1ypeus, supraclypeal area, lower paraocular areas) divided by fine black sulci, lateral process of S7 narrow, and median process of S8 not dilated and with long narrow tips.
